Laura Williams

Office and Grants Manager

When I was 5, I was convinced I would become either a paleontologist or a doctor. Even then, I wanted to help people and make a difference in the world. Today, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) and serve as the Office & Grants Manager at The Mom & Dad Project. In my role, I support the organization's operations and grant management, helping ensure our programs have the resources needed to serve families in our community.

The first thing people should know about me is that I’m an avid reader. I try to read as much and as broadly as possible, enjoying everything from novels to short stories to nonfiction. The second thing is that I love staying active. Over the years, I’ve played countless sports and I enjoy spending my free time outdoors hiking, walking, swimming, skiing, and playing tennis.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given came from my granddad, Papa Roger, who always reminded me not to take life too seriously. He taught me that even through life's challenges, there is always room for joy, and a well-timed dad joke.
