Hi all! I am the Youth Resilience Specialist with The Mom and Dad Project as of July 2026. My role consists of outreach, mental health services, and empowerment for our youth community members here in Big Bear. Growing up, I always thought I would be a nurse, but realized in college I was driven by preventative action rather than treatment. My passion lies in uplifting and strengthening our community before they are in need of intervention. I now hold a Master of Science in Engineering, Sustainability, and Health from the University of San Diego, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, International Studies, and a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Certification from San Diego State University.

Two things to know about me:

1.       I love to travel. I moved to Europe two days after I graduated college and solo backpacked around with no specific destination or plan-just a one-way ticket and open mind! I love immersing into new cultures and languages, and trying different foods. I continue to travel to new places when I can, but often resort back to my favorite place (Oaxaca, Mexico).

2.       I love staying active; walking, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, swimming, and more recently, learning how to ski and wake surf.

If I were to give a piece of advice, it would be this saying I saw on the side of a store window: “You are the artist of your life. Let no one else hold your paintbrush.”
